"Preventing Adverse Events in Diabetic Ketoacidosis Using a Standardized Care Pathway in the Emergency Department: A Pilot Study"
This was a T3 project implementing a standardized care pathway to treat diabetic ketoacidosis in the emergency department such a pathway will have a beneficial effect on process of care measures and on patient outcomes. Working with a multidisciplinary team, a pathway modifying those used in intensive care units, was put together to provide a standardized approach in caring for DKA patients in the ED.
