"Center for Diabetes Translational Research Influence on Collaborative Research"

A network approach will be used to evaluate the role of the Center for Diabetes Translational Research (CDTR) in developing productive research relationships, especially among researchers new to diabetes research or early in their careers. The purpose of this project is to discover patterns of collaboration that exist among CDTR members and to determine the role of CDTR in the development and support of these collaborations. The resulting network may be revisited in the future to examine the development of the CDTR and the role of the CDTR in the field of diabetes research and the development of the next generation of diabetes researchers. This will also serve as the basis for exploratory studies addressing innovative methods for promoting transdisciplinary approaches to diabetes prevention and control.
