"Evaluation of a Community Advisory Board (CAB) to Enhance Equitable Partnerships in School Meal Implementation"

This project will specifically address how academic researchers conducting health disparities research can build and sustain community advisory boards (CAB) to engage stakeholders in chronic disease prevention. Specifically, understanding the formation of a CAB, determinants of implementation success, and equity-focused outcomes of assembling such a diverse group can help avoid tokenism in community engagement. Finally, the findings of this research project can help other members of the CDTR to build meaningful partnerships to increase the impact of their work by bridging the academic-community gap.
