Objectives of this webinar include: 1) Describe early childhood obesity in the U.S. 2) Explain the role of social determinants of health and adverse childhood experiences on obesity 3) Discuss the potential role of home visiting programs on early childhood obesity prevention. The Diabetes & Obesity Collaborative Lectureship Series is a cross-disciplinary lectureship, focused on type 2 diabetes prevention and control. The series aims to increase collaborations across disciplines, promote resource-sharing, allow sharing of work in progress, and offer presentations on a plethora of hot topics, best practices, evaluation of translational technologies, current research, and opportunities for advancement in the field.
