The Center for Diabetes Translation Research (CDTR) is hosting a proposal development workshop “Next Steps: Research Proposals Addressing Diabetes and Obesity Translation.”
This event will bring together scientists for the development of research proposals that inform ‘real world’ approaches associated with diabetes and obesity translation. Projects should focus on T3 (translating clinical findings into everyday practice in real world settings) and T4 research testing and implementing solutions at a community or population level) translation research.
Participants preparing research applications for submission to NIH or other funding agencies will receive support on all aspects of proposal development (e.g. specific aims, theoretical approach, quantitative & qualitative methods, research design, and intervention methods). Individual consultation sessions are available from experts in the areas of 1) dissemination and implementation science, 2) policy analysis and systems science, 3) health communication and health literacy, 4) health disparities, and 5) health informatics.
Those interested in advancing a grant application for submission, from idea to full proposal, are invited to attend.
Apply by submitting the following to allisonphad@wustl.edu:
- Draft of your specific aims
- Paragraph describing what you hope to gain from the workshop
