Advancing Global Implementation Science at the National Institutes of Health
Features: Dr. Rachel Sturke, Dr. Christopher Gordon, Dr. Cynthia Vinson
On Monday, September 25, 2017 from 12:00 – 1:00pm EDT, Dr. David Chambers will host, weather depending, either a campfire or fireside chat with three folks working at the NIH in implementation science in a global space. Join us in welcoming Dr. Rachel Sturke from the Fogarty International Center (FIC), Dr. Christopher Gordon from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and our Dr. Cynthia Vinson here at NCI, who has in recent years co-led implementation science efforts with the Center for Global Health (CGH). Topics for discussion include an overview of global dissemination and implementation research efforts across the National Institutes of Health, future directions, key research and training needs, as well as other priority areas. This will be the first in a two-part chat in global implementation science; we hope to be joined subsequently by funded, international D&I grantees who will speak to similar issues from the researcher perspective.
The session will include approximately 30 minutes of discussion from our speakers and 30 minutes for engaged discussion and Q&A with the audience.
