This online webinar discusses using the Citizen/Community Scientist approach as a strategy for improving community-led/engaged research is an important component for identifying sustainable solutions to address disparities and improve health in communities.

Article 5 in the Council on Black Health’s Black Health Bill of Rights states, “We have the right to transform our health by reclaiming our power and autonomy.” This session will provide an overview of the Citizen/Community Scientist approach developed in conjunction with Project Brotherhood. We will also discuss the potential impact that the Citizen/Community Scientist approach could have on recruiting and engaging a diverse population in the All of Us research program, a large NIH-funded initiative aiming to engage people from communities, and how the approach could impact YOUR research.
