Dr. Cynthia Herrick was recently featured on St. Louis Public Radio to discuss findings from her BMC Public Health article “Postpartum diabetes screening among low income women with gestational diabetes in Missouri 2010–2015.” Dr. Herrick shared her thoughts on the racial disparities observed in gestational and emphasized the need for programs that support women from pregnancy to postpartum in order to “close the gap in diabetes screening and prevention”.
